Today we celebrate the career of our bookkeeper, Ngaire Smith, who is retiring from ESI Tech Group at the end of this year.

Let’s take a walk down memory lane with Ngaire.

“What will stand out in my heart and mind as I head into retirement from my role at ESI is looking back at the past eight years and seeing the company grow from a metro-based electrical service organisation to one focused on asset maintenance and specialist electrical services to both onshore and offshore clients.

There were many challenges along the way and I felt proud to see our company grow to become a trusted provider within our industry, and with our solid technical base, knowing we can mobilise and operate anywhere.”

What are you looking forward to about retiring?

“While I’m happy about getting leisure time with my husband and family, I’ll be sad to stop working and rising to the many challenges that came my way in my role with ESI.

I’d like to thank everyone for their support and assistance, which has been key to many achievements.

I’ve been proud to be part of this organisation, to work closely with the company directors Gianni Formato, Gary Everitt and Steven Basely, and I feel I have made friends that will remain forever.

I wish everyone and the company a bright future.”

FUN FACTS

Describe yourself in two words: Honest with a quirky sense of humour.

When I think of ESI I think… hardworking colleagues who have made a difference.

When you’re not at work we’ll find you… walking my two dogs, spending time with my grandchildren (who keep me on my toes), and passionately supporting the West Coast Eagles!

Thanks so much, Ngaire – thank you for your hard work with ESI Tech Group, and friendship, and we wish you all the best for your retirement years.
