A Perth-based client engaged ESI Tech Group to provide machinery installation, laser alignment and vibration analysis services for its offshore support vessels near Broome, Western Australia.
Solution
As part of our machinery installation and relocation service, and in partnership with our sister company, ESI Alphatec, we provided laser alignment and vibration analysis services for its offshore support vessels four kilometres from Broome.
This included replacing a failed coupling element and correcting a misalignment issue to a 1200Kw Cummins generator.
In a challenging work environment, we accommodated our client’s busy work schedule and performed the service at sea.
We mobilised a team from Perth to Broome, travelled four kilometres out to sea and back to port via the crewboat, returning to Perth the following morning – without any disruption to the client’s schedule.
