Project background
Our US-based client engaged ESI Tech Group to investigate the movement of tunnel walls in an escape tunnel at a gold mine in the southwest of Western Australia.
Solution
In conjunction with our sister company, ESI Alphatec, we developed a complete solution, including:
- Engineering and electrical services to install steel structural frames along the 80-metre tunnel
- Relocating and upgrading tunnel lighting
- Relocating the tunnel ventilation electrical supply to the fan motor
The project, which involved multiple trade disciplines, was completed without any safety incidents and met all client expectations.
